The Origin Story

Athlegion was built on a simple belief: athletes perform at their best when every part of their journey is supported, allowing them to focus fully on their sport. The idea was shaped by Alok’s firsthand experience as a basketball player, where he saw how fragmented systems made it difficult to balance training, nutrition, recovery, medical care, and off-field responsibilities.

By bringing together Alok’s background in sports medicine and Gaurav’s experience in sports management, and with the guidance and mentorship of Andy Leaver, Athlegion grew into a science and data-driven performance and wellness platform. Today, Athlegion offers integrated, end-to-end support for athletes, redefining health, performance, and wellbeing through a unified and collaborative approach to care.
